Just a quick thought

When the VAT rate was cut to 15%, fuel duty was increased to compensate.

Has the fuel duty rate been dropped again now that VAT is back up to 17.5%?

    No, and neither has the duty on alcohol.

    There was never any intention to either. The two largest sector providers of stealth tax have to be protected.
    But all that tax goes on helping children out of poverty or improving equality, so its well worth it.
